Sunday Sermon Prep  looks at the failure of modern religion to speak honestly about sexual energy: its force, comedy, danger, vitality and creative power. The clerical figure appears both authoritative and absurd, caught between sermon, performance and bodily exposure.

The painting does not simply mock religion. It asks what happens when desire is denied language, ritual or dignity. The result is comic, uneasy and theatrical: a figure dressed for moral authority while the body below refuses to disappear. Religion, sexuality and shame sit together in the same room, unresolved and visibly alive.
